Question about my lips?

I have had this going on for about a month now and im really frustrated at this point.I have these little bumps on my top and bottom lip that have clear liquid coming out of them..not all the time but sometimes and there itchy and then they get sore..There real little..You almost cant see them..I asked the doctor and he said its a cold sore but its on both lips so i dont know how it could be and ive never heard of a month long cold sore..He gave me meds to take and they havent helped at all yet!!!!! Now instead of the little bumps my lips are all cracked and burning almost like there chapped,only more painfull...I have tried chapstick,vaseline,herpecin L,the medicated stuff in the little tiny tan jar..I dont know what else to do..I cant see a dermatologist for about a month since there so booked where i live..What is this and how do i get rid of it!!!!!! Ive never had any problem with my lips in the past..I have never had a cold sore in my life and neither has anyone in my family..I didnt catch it from kissing either which i hear is possible..Im married and have been with the same person for 5 years..So i dont know?
