He asked me 2 movies and paid WAS IT A DATE?

so i met this guys chris threw my friend ellen and he flirts with me all the time. He calls me every night and talks 2 me till 3 in the morning,walks around with me be4 homeroom, tries 2 invite me over his house every day, and other stuff....he asked me to go to movies with him monday and i said yes when there wasn't sure if date, then he payed 4 my ticket, in movie theater we didn't do anything, this confuses es me cuz dont know if was date.. what do u think???
