How can i wear a pair of my boyfriend's jeans with clic short ugg boots?

i would like to wear a pair of my boyfriend's jeans with my ugg boots but the thing is, idk how to make this whole outfit look right because i would like to tuck his jeans in my boots? and what kind and color shirt should i wear if my uggs are a chestnut color? please help? thanks :)
