Does my boyfriend still love me? would he maybe want to go out again in the future?

so me and my 6 month bf broke up today and i need some help. So basically his friend (they werent like bffs) was texing me for a few days last week. he started off talking normally like hey whats up but then he got flirty. he sent me a picture of his abs and would say flirty things so i stopped texting him. I wasnt sure if i should tell my bf because he would get mad (he has a really bad temper) so i decided to wait until i felt like i wanted to tell him. i accidently started telling him so then i just did and nows hes mad for me 1. talking to his friends and 2. not telling him when i should have. so do you think he still loves me or did i mess this all up?
