Why are people so desperate to get a boyfriend/girlfriend?

I honestly can't STAND the thought of having a boyfriend. I'm not the type of person who can stand much stress and I find all boyfriend "problems" ( bullshit's ) just plain STUPID. I had just one boyfriend last year and I left him after a week because he tried to make a fight out of everything! Like for example he made a big deal just because I said hi on the phone glumly.( I was sleepy) After that I officially decided I want to remain single the rest of my life and I'm not saying that as a spoiled teenager, I MEAN IT. But I hear my friends always desperate to have a boyfriend as they don't want to remain alone in their life and I say being alone rocks and people think I'm weird. HOW STUPID! What the heck is up with you people, so desperate for "love"!Geez! And ps: I don't want to have a boyfriend as I find all the boys that are interested in me to be too stupid, seriously. ( At least the ones I've met )
