Do court shows really legally settle cases?

YES, they are legally binding people who choose to go on these shows have to have a case pending in civil court and agree to drop it before being accepted, after they are accepted they are required to sign a contract agreeing to the terms of the judges ruling, but they are paid a fee for their appearance and the side that wins is paid out of the losers fee so there is no chance that the winner will not be paid, the loser receives the balance of the fee so in reality there is not a loser it is just that the one who prevails receives the most money and most of the judges are real judges who chose a career in TV.~
